Water softener
Whole-home softening that captures hardness before it scales your home and appliances.
Inside the softener ↗THE SYSTEMS WE INSTALL
Perfect Water installs reliable, professional-grade systems from trusted partners like Blake Equipment and Premier Pump. Which ones your home needs is set by your test results, not a catalog.
That is the difference you feel in the glass: a system dialed in to the exact contaminants in your water, not a generic, one-size-fits-all box. A good share of our work is replacing off-the-shelf equipment that was never matched to the home and never fixed the problem.

WATER-POWERED CONTROL
Flow powers the control valve. The system meters demand and initiates regeneration when capacity is used.
No electronic timer to program.
INSIDE THE RESIN TANK
Ion-exchange resin captures calcium and magnesium. The internal collection tube returns softened water to the outlet.
Softening targets hardness; it is not a complete contaminant-removal system.
THE BRINE RESERVOIR
Salt and water form brine that regenerates the resin. The tank is then rinsed before returning to service.
Replenishing salt remains part of routine care.
THE TWIN-TANK ADVANTAGE
The second tank supplies soft water during regeneration. Proper sizing and water pressure keep the system matched to household demand.
Compare this continuity with a single-tank system’s regeneration behavior.

PROFESSIONAL-GRADE EQUIPMENT
We install reliable, professional-grade equipment, customized to your water rather than pulled off a shelf.
Our systems come from trusted partners like Blake Equipment and Premier Pump. Perfect Water has served the Capital Region for 40 years, and every install includes professional installation, yearly maintenance and ongoing support. We also service Kinetico and most major brands.
Your water supply still needs pressure, and a well pump or other treatment equipment may require electricity.
Professional-grade systems, customized to your water—
and a local family business behind them.
A family-owned business serving homes and businesses from our Schenectady base.
We cover the entire Capital Region—roughly a 50-to-60-mile radius.
Equipment sized and selected for your test results, not a stock configuration.
Perfect Water installs reliable, professional-grade equipment from trusted partners like Blake Equipment and Premier Pump. A functioning pressurized water supply is still required; a well pump and UV unit may need electricity.
What matters is the fit, the installation and the years that follow.
Equipment sized and selected for your test results and how you use water—never a generic, one-size-fits-all box.
Installed to code by a team that does this every day, as an authorized Home Depot installer, and registered for warranty.
Yearly maintenance, salt delivery and service—for the equipment we install and most major brands, including Kinetico.

PRETREATMENT
Prefiltration addresses particles and selected taste or disinfectant concerns before the membrane.
Media selection depends on the incoming water.
REVERSE OSMOSIS
Under household pressure, water is pushed through a semi-permeable membrane. A separate reject stream carries away concentrated dissolved substances.
RO adds a separation step beyond carbon-only filtration.
PURPOSEFUL CARTRIDGES
The system combines reverse osmosis with configurable filter options. Select cartridges against the contaminants identified in your water.
Check the exact configuration’s certified reductions.
THE PERFECT WATER ADVANTAGE
The membrane is rinsed with treated water, and a stored reserve supports a steady pour. Filter-life features help keep replacement on track.
Compare certified performance, maintenance and delivery—not filter count alone.
Illustrative exploded diagram, not a manufacturer’s internal engineering layout. Components are simplified; reductions depend on configuration and operating conditions. How drinking-water treatment works ↗

Our reverse-osmosis drinking-water station pairs RO with customizable cartridges to address the specific drinking-water concerns in your test.
Configurable filter options let the treatment match the contaminants you need to reduce.
Stored, treated water delivers a strong, steady stream at a dedicated tap.
The membrane is rinsed with treated water, and filter-life indicators help you keep up with replacement.
Contaminant reductions depend on the specific system, cartridges and operating conditions. Check the performance data sheet against your water test.
COMPLETE THE SYSTEM YOUR WATER NEEDS

For selected taste, odor and disinfectant concerns. Chlorine and chloramine need an appropriately specified filter.
How filtration works
Media and operating conditions matched to the source of staining or sulfur odor. Testing helps determine the right approach.
Recognize the symptoms
For sediment and difficult turbidity problems, including colloidal clay that a basic cartridge may miss.
Read the local clay guide
For microbial concerns, with correct pretreatment, flow limits and lamp service. It complements rather than replaces chemical-contaminant filtration.
Understand UV treatmentTHE QUESTIONS WORTH ASKING
A good comparison includes the system’s performance and the years after installation.
Compare treatment goals, exact model, certified capacity and reductions, peak flow, salt efficiency, installation scope, warranty and ongoing service costs—not brand names alone.
Often, yes. A good portion of our installations replace generic or aging equipment that was never matched to the home's water. We start with a fresh test, confirm what your water actually needs, and size the replacement to those results, so you treat the real problem instead of inheriting someone else's guess.
Depending on the equipment: replenishing salt, changing filters, inspecting the RO membrane and servicing a UV lamp. Follow the specific product schedule and account for your water conditions.
We install professional-grade equipment from trusted partners like Blake Equipment and Premier Pump, and we service most major brands, including Kinetico. The right equipment is set by your test results, not a single catalog.
Ask for the written warranty for the quoted model, including parts, labor, exclusions and maintenance requirements. Coverage differs by product.
Perfect Water offers service for most major brands. Call with your make, model and symptoms so the team can confirm what service is available.
